CAMTAD's aims are two-fold:
1. To spread information about the problems of hearing impairment
2. To help people with acquired deafness

Hearing Help Sessions in local areas offering
- free batteries and hearing aid care and maintenance for NHS hearing aid users.
- advice on hearing loss and the best use of hearing aids.
- demonstrations of, and advice about, environmental equipment and how these can help to improve the quality of life.

Other Services
- regular visits to residential homes and sheltered housing
- visits to housebound people.
- environmental equipment available on loan to try-before-you-buy including amplified telephones

Talks to Groups and Training for Staff and Volunteers
CAMTAD offers a range of talks and training designed to suit the participants such as
- informal talks to explain how to get the best our of hearing aids and environmental aids suitable for groups who are hard of hearing and their community.
- training on how to identify problems with hearing and hearing aids and strategies for managing hearing loss suitable for people caring for those with a hearing loss.
- deaf awareness training for those who deal with the public generally or with older people.
